Beautifully told the story of an unassuming interracial couple from Virginia who simply wanted to live their lives and raise a family out in the country not bothering anyone else but the archaic and outdated leftover slavery laws in the south back in 1958 would not have it. It's a slow and deliberate film well worth watching indicative of the painful 8yr process it took for Loving vs. Virginia to grind through the courts culminating in a landmark Supreme Court decision. husband and wife. Instead, there's a lot of wooden acting and 2 hours could have been easily clipped to 90 minutes. I just didn't get the sense a lot was at stake here which is a shame because the case was monumental in legal history.
